A Message from the Editor

April 7, 2008

Welcome to a special edition of CDC Partnership Matters. This edition is dedicated to National Public Health Week, observed this week from April 7-13, 2008.

Climate change is a serious public health concern and this year’s theme for National Public Health Week. Across the nation, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Public Health Association, and members of the public health community will host activities and events that encourage CDC partners and public health professionals to take steps that will have positive effects on their individual health, the health of the nation, and the climate.

CDC has developed resources and tools for the public and the public health community to support education and opportunity for action. Please visit the new Web pages on climate change and health launched this week by CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health. For more information about National Public Health Week, please visit www.nphw.org.

As always, feel free to send any feedback, questions or concerns regarding CDC Partnership Matters or the Partners’ Web site to CDC Partnerships.

Warm Regards,

Division of Partnership and Strategic Alliances
