Citrus Authorized Entry into the United States
The attached list provides those countries that are authorized to ship citrus into the United States. For complete detailed entry requirements, please refer to Plant Protection and Quarantine’s (PPQ) Manual found on line at: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_export/plants/manuals/ports/downloads/fv.pdf.
All citrus shipments require an import permit which can be obtained at the Plant Permits website.
All citrus imports require a port of entry inspection. In addition, varying requirements may include a preclearance program in the exporting country, a phytosanitrary treatment which may be fumigation and/or cold treatment or both, and/or a phytosanitary certification from the exporting country’s National Plant Protection Organization certifying the citrus is free of certain pests.
If citrus or a particular type of citrus is not listed in the manual, it is not enterable.
