To ensure that the Hydrogen and Clean Fuels program continually addresses the current and future needs of the RD&D community and the public, NETL relies on outreach activities. Public outreach – through such means as publications, workshops, web site activity, and participation in open forums – helps foster wider awareness and understanding of the benefits of hydrogen and clean fuels technologies and products.

In addition, meetings and discussions with key industry stakeholders serve to identify technology needs, environmental challenges, and opportunities in order to facilitate technology transfer, commercialization, and acceptance of gasification as the technology of choice for future marketplace applications.
