WHAT WE DO

The Office of Planning & Analysis is the strategic planning office for the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Science. The Office of Planning & Analysis does the following: 

·         Develop the Office of Science position on science policy in consultation with the Office of Science programs; and coordinate these positions with the Office of the Assistant Secretary or Policy, Planning, or Program Evaluation.

·         Conduct independent reviews of the quality of science and technology programs in the Department, evaluate their relevance to national needs and goals and their potential to achieve acceptability in the market place.
