"As the Office of Justice Programs and the U.S. Department of Justice, of which we are part, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention is committed to ensuring a level playing field for faith- and community-based organizations. The services they provide are integral to our efforts to prevent and address delinquency. " —J. Robert Flores, Administrator, OJJDP

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention is committed to assisting faith-based and community organizations that serve America's youth. To this end, OJJDP sponsors and participates in conferences and meetings intended to facilitate their participation.

Faith-based and community organizations are making significant contributions to preventing and combating delinquency, and OJJDP is privileged to support a number of such programs, including those described herein.

An effective way to expand the participation of faith-based and community organizations in the provision of youth services is to disseminate information about analogous activities as OJJDP has done online and through print publications.

To learn more about what OJJDP and others are doing to serve children, families, and communities, you are invited to subscribe to the following online resources:

  • OJJDP's JUVJUST listserv provides information on juvenile justice and other youth service-related publications, funding opportunities, and events.

  • The bimonthly electronic newsletter OJJDP News @ a Glance highlights OJJDP activities, publications, funding opportunities, and upcoming events.
