The Short-Term Energy Outlook (Outlook) scheduling procedure calls for the release of the Outlook on the first Tuesday following the first Thursday of each month.  For example, since the first Thursday of February 2006 was February 2, under this plan, the February 2006 edition was released on Tuesday, February 7.

This scheduling procedure is designed to allow the maximum amount of current information, including that based on weekly petroleum and natural gas storage data, to be included in the historical data presented in the Outlook. Barring holidays, the Outlook will appear between the 6^th and the 12^th of the month.  Any unforeseen scheduling adjustments will be posted here and/or on the main Outlook page (http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/steo/pub/contents.html).
