Colleagues,

Do Financial Literacy programs work? Maybe not. At least the evidence
that it works is scant according to an article in today's Erie Times
News which quotes Lauren Willis, a professor at Loyola Law School in
Los Angeles and author of a new report, "Against Financial Literacy
Education." She says, "They don't work. ... The idea that we are
making Americans financially literate to handle their own credit and
investment needs, it is a fallacy."
