[LearningDisabilities 1758] Re: Research ValidatedReadingInstruction- Hooked on Phonics?

I want to mention something here.. It's only recently that I have
become of the way many instructors teach reading.

They say like this person below the letters have sounds.

Letters do not have sounds. Letters are an inanimate entity and do not
have the capacity of sound production.

Letters were invented in order to REPRESENT sounds which the human being
utters. This is totally the reverse of how many teachers approach reading
instruction. Being aware of this is very important.

And yes I do agree with the person below that phonemic awareness
definitely should be before phonics.
