Or perhaps you dream of flying. Coast Guard aviators fly in the most demanding conditions-everyday. Every mission is supported in the air, that is why the Coast Guard has a higher proportion of pilots in its officer corps than the Air Force. Each year a limited number of Academy graduates attend flight school after graduation. Many more go to flight school within two years.
