How to Register

Before you can submit a Comment to an OERC Blog posting, you must register. This step provides some protection from automated spamming.

To register, go to http://nnlm.gov/evaluation/blog/wp-register.php:

Registration screen

Or, click on one of the OERC Blog postings or its Comments link. You will be asked to log in, and there will be a registration link provided on the WordPress log in screen. Click on that link.

Login screen

Then, provide the Username you wish to use–whatever you prefer, as long as it is easy for you to remember. Also provide your email address, and then click the Register button. Your password will be emailed to the address you provided.

Once you have logged in, you can go to your profile to change this password to an easier-to-remember one if you wish to. If you forget your password, WordPress will mail it to you upon request.

When you register, the OERC Blog administrator will receive a notification. Shortly thereafter, if you are a staff member of a Regional Medical Library or a member of the National Network Office, the administrator will set your account to Author status so that you will be able to create postings to the OERC Blog as well as make comments.

Some browsers’ cookie or cache settings interfere with how the OERC Blog displays: new postings, comments, and other changes might not display, even after the page is reloaded.

Follow NLM’s recommended Browser Settings for DOCLINE, and your browser should be configured properly for the OERC Blog.
