DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL TO ADDRESS COMMUNITY PROSECUTORS AT NATIONAL CONFERENCE
SPEECH TO BE WEBCAST VIA THE INTERNET

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder will deliver the keynote address to the National Community Prosecution Conference in Alexandria, Virginia on Monday, September 25, 2000. The Conference is being sponsored by the American Prosecutors Research Institute (APRI), the research, training and development affiliate of the National District Attorneys Association.

Community Prosecution is a strategic approach to combating crime which involves the community in a collaborative effort to identify and prioritize community safety needs. Deputy Attorney General Holder will discuss how community prosecution has contributed to the continued decline in crime and the varied approaches to community prosecution used throughout the country.
