Long Description: In 2006 there were three use cases. These were Consumer Empowerment which included registration, and medication history, Electronic Health Records which included laboratory result reporting, and bio-surveillance. In 2007 there four uses cases. These were Electronic Health Records for emergency responders, Consumer Access to Clinical Information, Medication Management, and Quality. In 2008 there were six use cases. These were Remote Monitoring, Consultations and Transfers of Care, Public Health Case Reporting, Patient-Provider Secure Messaging, Personalized Healthcare, and Immunizations and Response Management. In 2009 the use case will be Newborn Screening. Suggested use cases for 2009 include General Laboratory oorders, Medication Gaps, Common Device Connectivity, Clinical Encounter Notes, Order Sets, Scheduling, Common Data Transport, Consumer Preferecnes, Medical Home: Co-morbidity and Registries, Long Term Care Assessments, Prior Authorization for Treatment, Payment, and Operations, and Consumer AE Reporting.
