On January 30, 2008, in a standing-room-only event attended by over 400 people held at the Russell Senate Caucus room, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) CEO Ambassador John Danilovich marked MCC’s fourth anniversary and highlighted the agency’s record of accomplishments in four short years and outlined the organization’s plans for the future.
Millennium Challenge Corporation Announces Program with Niger to Promote Girls' Education, Combat Corruption
On January 30, 2008, MCC announced the approval of a three-year, $23 million threshold program to help the Government of Niger improve its performance on MCC’s Control of Corruption, Business Start-Up, Land Rights and Access and Girls’ Primary Education Completion Rate indicators.
