São Tomé and Príncipe Launches $8.66 Million Millennium Challenge Corporation Threshold Program to Support Fiscal Reforms
On November 9, 2007, São Tomé and Príncipe launched an MCC threshold program worth $8.66 million. The two-year program seeks to assist the Government of São Tomé and Príncipe better its performance on MCC’s Fiscal Policy indicator through improved tax and customs administration and enforcement. The program will also improve performance on MCC’s Days to Start a Business and Cost of Starting Business indicators by streamlining business registration procedures.
MCC Releases Annual Scorecards Measuring Countries’ Performance
On November 14, 2007, MCC released performance scorecards for 95 countries that are candidates for grant assistance from the Millennium Challenge Account.
