Richland County Student Receives Academy Nomination

Washington, DC -- Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) today announced that a local student has been offered an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Noah William Baker, 18, is a member of the Lexington High School Class of 2007.  Mr. Baker's application was submitted for nomination by former Congressman Michael G. Oxley.

"We were thrilled to hear that Noah has received this offer," said Jordan.  "America's military academies offer young men and women an unprecedented opportunity at one of the best educational experiences in the world.  This is a great honor for him and his family."

Jordan said that academy nomination applications and background material may be requested through his Lima District office at 419-999-6455.
