IRS RELATED SCAMS

The Internal Revenue Service has issued several recent consumer warnings on the fraudulent use of the IRS name or logo by scam perpetrators trying to gain access to consumers’ financial information in order to steal their identity and assets.  Please visit the IRS website to obtain more information on how to report suspicious e-mails claiming to have been sent by the IRS. 

The IRS recommends you forward the e-mail or suspicious website URL to the IRS at phishing@irs.gov.  You can also forward suspicious e-mails to the Federal Trade Commission at: spam@uce.gov or contact them at 1-877-IDTHEFT (438-4338).
