Nashville, TN -- As the federal-state disaster recovery effort continues to reach out to storm survivors with unmet needs, three mobile Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) will begin making rounds later this week in three Tennessee designated disaster counties.

The mobile centers, staffed by Tennessee and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) recovery specialists and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) loan officers, have telecommunication and network computer links to assist registrants and to provide updated information on applications already filed.

Schedule of stops (All centers open 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.)
Monday, May 19 - Tuesday, May 20
Bradley County - 260 Inman Street, Cleveland, TN
Monday, May 19 - Tuesday, May 20
Montgomery County - 350 Pageant Lane, Clarksville, TN
Wednesday, May 21 - Thursday, May 22
McMinn County - 1802 Decatur Pike, Athens, TN

The DRCs will provide information on available programs, including housing assistance, individual and household grants, SBA low-interest loan applications, business loans, mitigation, and other disaster-related programs to help cover residential and business losses not fully compensated by insurance.

Before visiting any DRC, applicants should first register for assistance by calling toll-free 800-621-FEMA (3362). Individuals with speech or hearing impairments who use special keyboard equipment (TDD) should call 800-462-7585. The lines are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week, until further notice.

Applicants are reminded to bring their FEMA registration number and social security number when visiting any disaster center. County residents who have already registered for federal-state disaster assistance are not required to visit a DRC regarding their application, but are invited to do so for disaster-related information including preventive measures to reduce future flood risk.

In addition to the three mobile centers moving among counties, three fixed-site DRCs are operating from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week in Jackson, Murfreesboro, and Chattanooga.
