Video Summary of the Second Adolescent Literacy Workshop: Practice Models for Adolescent Literacy Success

This video showcases the second of two Adolescent Literacy workshops that were jointly sponsored by government and private sector entities in 2002 for the purpose of developing specific recommendations for a program of research on adolescent literacy. The presentations of May 20th are highlighted with discussion following each presentation. Mary Beth Curtis begins with a presentation of a synthesis of the existing research in the field. This is followed by the presentation of four different practice models as examples used to demonstrate a process of examination, brainstorming, improvement, and research that should be applied to any model development and implementation.
