Energy Management Program

EM-23’s Energy Management Program (EMP) addresses the eight (8) initiatives and goals established under the Secretary’s Transformation Energy Action Management (TEAM) initiative, established to transform DOE’s management of its real property assets impacted by energy, environmental, and fleet issues. The (8) TEAM goals are:
  • Increase Energy Efficiency
  • Increase Renewable Energy Use or Generation
  • Petroleum Reduction/Alternative Fuel Use
  • Improve Sustainable Building Standards
  • Increase Water Conservation
  • Increase Sustainable Environmental Practices in Acquisitions
  • Reduce Toxic and Hazardous Material Use and Divert Solid Waste to Recovery
  • Increase Recycling, and the Environmental and Energy Impact of its Electronic Equipment Purchase, Use, and Disposal
Our EMP Program strives to successfully support all energy management initiatives that reduce energy consumption, improve sustainable technologies, and utilize alternative fleet vehicles that promote DOE's strategic plan as the federal leader in energy, environmental, and fleet/fuel/transportation management.
