In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in the fall of 2005, almost 360,000 hurricane related calls and emails came into USA Services’ National Contact Center (1 (800) FED INFO). The NCC also assisted in the relief effort by making over 11,000 outbound calls to verify space available at shelters.
