E-Government

The Department of Energy (DOE) Electronic Government (E-Government) strategy continues to adhere to guidance disseminated by the Office of Management and Budget.  The goal of E-Government is to utilize technology to improve how the Federal Government serves citizens, businesses and agencies.

DOE supports the E-Government Initiatives through a governance process overseen by the Chief Information Officer which ensures the alignment to the Department’s Strategic Plan.  These efforts along with many other Departmental Initiatives help DOE:

  • Eliminate redundancies
  • Reduce costs
  • Increase cyber security
