EIA will move the standard release time of the Weekly Petroleum Status Report (WPSR) and the Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report (WNGSR) back to the original time of 10:30 a.m. (Eastern Time) in early January. The change is effective beginning with the WPSR release on Wednesday, January 7, and with the WNGSR release on Thursday January 8.

The day and time at which the weekly reports are released will continue to vary from the standard practice during certain weeks that include a Federal holiday. The official schedule with dates and times for those releases are available for the WPSR at http://www.eia.doe.gov/oil_gas/fwd/wpsrsch.html and for the WNGSR at http://www.eia.doe.gov/oil_gas/natural_gas/ngs/schedule.html.
Upcoming changes to the Petroleum Supply Monthly  (12/11/2008)
Changes to the monthly petroleum supply surveys (Forms EIA-810 through 820) and associated published products are planned for the end of March 2009 with data for January 2009. Affected published products include:
  • Petroleum Supply Monthly (PSM)

  • Annual Refinery Capacity Report

  • Petroleum Navigator
Changes to the above mentioned products include adding renewable fuels, showing fuel ethanol supply and demand, and incorporating ethanol production (formerly published in PSM Appendix D) into petroleum supply and disposition tables.

This announcement highlights the upcoming changes so data users will have sufficient time to plan for the change. Additional details, including previews of new data tables in PDF, HTML (Navigator), CSV and XLS formats, will be provided in January 2009.
