Second Annual Citizen Service Award

Overview

The General Services Administration's Office of Citizen Services recognizes agencies across the government that have achieved excellence in customer service via Web, telephone, and/or email with the Annual Citizen Service Award. The Award honors federal, state and local government agencies that demonstrate the following:

  • Creativity and innovation in the development and implementation of citizen-focused activities
  • Significant enhancements in existing citizen service

The first Annual Citizen Service Awards were given in 2008. Nominations for the 2009 Annual Citizen Service Award will be accepted until February 20, 2009. Finalists will be announced in March, and the winners will be recognized at the Interagency Resources Management Conference (IRMCO) in Cambridge, MD, April 19-22. In addition to a trophy, the winners and finalists will receive one free admission to the conference, recognition on our website, and recognition in a press release announcing the award-winning programs.
