(6/13/2004 - 6/17/2004 )	Students From Across America Make History at National History Day 2004 More than 2,100 students in grades six through 12 from 48 states, the District of Columbia, and American Samoa. In total, 7,000 people are expected at the five-day event, including teachers, parents, and the general public, as well as judges from universities, museums and federal agencies. (6/8/2004)	Pennsylvania Teacher is Winner in "Our Documents" Teacher Lesson Competition The National Archives, National History Day (NHD) and Siemens announced today that Donna Sharer, an 11th grade history teacher at Northeast High School in Philadelphia, is the high school division winner of the 2004 "Teaching Our Documents: A Lesson Competition for Educators."
(6/8/2004)	Kansas Teachers are Winners in the "Our Documents" Teacher Lesson Competition The National Archives, National History Day (NHD) and Siemens announced today that Clayton Lucas, a social studies teacher, and Michelle Stie-Buckles, an English teacher at Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy in Overland Park, Kan., are the middle school division winners of the 2004 "Teaching Our Documents: A Lesson Competition for Educators."
(3/30/2004)	Our Documents Workshop at the New England League of Middle Schools Annual Conference This year's NELMS Conference will include the workshop Using 'Our Documents' and Other Primary Sources in the Social Studies Classroom. The workshop will explore the OurDocuments.gov website and the use of primary sources in the classroom. Participants will be given a sourcebook of lessons related to the 100 significant documents in American History to use in conjunction with the site. At the New England League of Middle Schools Annual Conference, Rhode Island Convention Center, 1 Sabin Street Providence, RI 02903 on March 30, 2004, from 2:30-3:45 pm. The workshop will explore the OurDocuments.gov website and the use of primary sources in the classroom. Participants will be given a sourcebook of lessons related to the 100 significant documents in American History to use in conjunction with the site. Discuss these documents and their importance to American history, and learn more about the Our Documents initiative.

National History Day participants from across the country will present winning exhibits, performances, documentaries, and papers from the national "Understanding Our Documents" competion.
