| On The Cover:Two articles on xenoestrogens describe
assays and report endocrine disruption
in response to toxicants in the environment. Combinations of estrogen-mimicking
pesticides found in eggs of alligators from Lake Apopka interfere with
binding of steroids to endocrine receptors, which may lead to the reproductive
anomalies observed in their offspring.
