Ciência & Saúde Coletiva

Ciência & Saúde Coletiva (CSC) is a quarterly Brazilian public health journal and is the official Journal of the Brazilian Association of Public Health (ABRASCO). Three of the issues are thematic. The journal’s mission is to be a vehicle for disseminating and critically reflecting on the field’s history, analyzing the “state of the art” of its component disciplines, and the latest trends in thinking, theory, and practice in public health.

CSC is currently available on the web at the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciElo) www.scielo.org. After January 2006, the journal will be available on its new web site www.cienciasuadecoletiva.org.br.

CSC received an “A” classification in its field from the Coordinating Body for Training University Level Personnel (Capes) and is acknowledged by the National Research Council (CNPq), which partially funds the journal. This journal is indexed in SciELO, Sociological Abstracts, Cabi Abstracts/Global Health, Latindex, and Rea AlyC databases.
