Welcome to the Pace Lab!

Introduction:

The activities of the lab largely have involved (1) studies of structure, function, and processing of stable RNAs; and (2) the development and application of molecular methods to the study of microbial ecosystems.

September 2008 : Eric Holinger joins the lab as a postdoctoral researcher on the CAFO project.

August 2008 : This Summer, Dr. Norman R. Pace traveled to Berlin to receive the Lifetime Achievement in Science Award from the RNA Society at the Meeting of the RNA Society AND to Cairnes, Australia, to receive the Tiedje Award for lifetime achievement from the International Society of Microbial Ecology! Congratulations, Norm!

January 2008: Norman Pace is now a DISTINGUISHED Professor!

May 2007: Dr. Norman R. Pace was chosen as the recipient of the Abbot-ASM Lifetime Achievement Award! Norm presented a lecture at the meeting of the American Society of Microbiology in which he re-iterated his stance on the negative impacts of the erroneous term "prokaryote" in science education.
