Although the Department of Energy is not a regulatory agency, it is affected by a
variety of statutes, legislation, regulations, directives and guidance. Many of the
current compliance-related actions revolve around waste and material disposition.
These include Section 3116 Determinations, Records of Decision, and Environmental
Impact Statements. Information about EM's waste and material disposition can be found
below. In addition, links to compliance agreements and other compliance-related
resources are provided.
