The Federal Government provides numerous resources for the prevention and treatment of mental health problems, including SAMHSA's Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), which awards grants to States and localities for a range of treatment and support services. SAMHSA and its partners across the Federal Government have released the Federal Action Agenda for Mental Health System Transformation, which describes the first steps Government Agencies are taking to bring about a fundamental improvement of the mental health care system in America.
