Charlie Krebs, DirectorWelcome to Cooperative Forestry, a department of the United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service State and Private Forestry, located in Portland, Oregon.

The Forest Service's Cooperative Forestry mission area includes a priority on collaborative working relationships and a set of specific programs to achieve that goal.  The programs include technical and financial assistance to non-industrial private forest owners and communities to perform resource management, and economic assistance to communities dependent upon natural resources.

The overall goal of Cooperative Forestry is to facilitate and foster sustainable natural resource management through partnerships with the private and public sectors as well as communities and tribes.  Program activities are customer driven by landowner and community needs.
