ANCIENT
BRISTLECONE PINE FOREST
Standing as ancient sentinels high atop the White Mountains of the
Inyo National Forest, the Great Basin Bristlecone Pines rank as
the oldest trees in the world and have achieved immense scientific,
cultural and scenic importance.
CAMPGROUNDS
Front-country Forest lands offer many camping choices, including
established campgrounds, dispersed camping, and RV sites. View these
choices and learn how to reserve a campground in advance for your
upcoming trip.
GROUP CAMPGROUNDS
Front-country Forest lands also offer group camping opportunities.

FISHING

LODGING & RESORT SERVICES
Permitted businesses offer services to the public on Forest lands
across the Inyo National Forest, including lodging, housekeeping facilities,
alternate camping options, restaurants, boat rentals, RV sites and
much more.
PACK STATIONS
Pack Stations operate under special use permit from the Inyo National Forest, providing a variety of outfitting and guiding services in several of the wilderness areas, as well as such special guided activities as horse and cattle drives.
SPECIAL USE
AUTHORIZATIONS
Provide use
of, and access to, National Forest System lands for a wide variety
of activities to both commercial and noncommercial operations.
Permits are also issued for private, non-exclusive use. Depending on
the complexity of the proposal, obtaining a Special Use
Authorization can sometimes be a lengthy process.
