Structural Testing
Testing with materials and standard specimens can be completed on a number of calibrated machines ranging from 10 pounds to 5 million pounds. ASTM and ACI standards are used as well as unique or custom designed testing when required. Typical materials tested are plastic pipe, geosynthetics, steel, and concrete. Other materials can be tested on request.
Full scale, substructure, or model testing can be performed both in static and dynamic conditions. The 5 million pound machine has a loading head 6’x 6’ in cross section and can readily handle specimens up to 50 feet in height A 8’ by 10’ 1-D shake table can handle payloads in the 25000 pound range. Instrumentation with a 64 channel data acquisition can also be provided.
