CNN MultiChoice Award Announced
"Pain in my Heart", a documentary by Hopewell Rugoho-Chin’ono, freelance reporter from Zimbabwe, won the Kaiser Family Foundation Award for Excellence in HIV Reporting in Africa. Mr. Rugoho-Chin’ono was also named CNN African Journalist of the Year. You can learn more about the award and watch the award-winning documentary on the program’s website  or on the press release .
New Orleans/Gulf Coast Site Visit
In March 2007, the Kaiser Media Fellows and invited journalists met in New Orleans, LA and travelled to Gulfport, MS and Baton Rouge, LA for a weeklong series of briefings with health experts, policymakers and health care providers on the changing health challenges in the Gulf Coast Region. Workshop on Issues Covering AIDS

From October 9-10, 2006, HT Media, Ltd. and the Kaiser Family Foundation co-sponsored a two day workshop for about 60 journalists in Patna, Bihar. Imagine the Possibility of an HIV-free Generation: It begins with YOU! The YOU campaign, an initiative of the African Broadcast Media Partnership Against HIV/AIDS (ABMP), emphasizes personal action and urges all Africans to consider their role in helping realize the vision of an HIV-free future.
