SBA REGULATIONS:
INTRODUCTION AND EXPLANATION
On March 4, 1995, the White House directed all Federal agencies to
simplify their regulations. In response, SBA completed a page-by-page,
line-by-line review of its existing regulations to determine which should
be revised or eliminated. It then published in the Federal Register a
series of proposed rules that would substantially revise, reorganize, and
streamline its present regulations. The rules were available for public
comment in December 1995. They are now published law, streamlined, and
much more user friendly. They are published in Title 13 of the Code of
Federal Regulations (CFR).
For your convenience, SBA is making its regulations available for viewing
electronically through the Home Page.
