SUBJECT: | STAFF REQUIREMENTS - SECY-00-0001 - PILOT PROGRAM FOR NMSS INITIATIVE ON STREAMLINING INSPECTION AND ENFORCEMENT |
The Commission has approved the staff's plans to implement the temporary instructions and proceed with the pilot program for nuclear medicine to streamline inspection and enforcement subject to the comments provided below.

Modify existing sentence "Problems associated with maintenance of safety occur infrequently..." to read "Problems associated with
maintenance of equipment and radiation safety processes occur infrequently...." | ||

Modify existing sentence "Information-based errors, associated with maintenance of safety, do not occur." to read "Information-based errors,
associated with equipment usage and radiation safety processes." | ||
3. | Temporary Instruction, page 4, 03.03.02 "Knowledgeable Staff and Management," second paragraph, item (4): | |
Modify existing sentence "its responsibilities to promptly report to the licensee any condition..." to read "its responsibility to promptly report to licensee management any condition..." |
Since staff being interviewed are licensee personnel, the individual(s) should be knowledgeable with respect to management reporting levels and mechanisms.
