SUBJECT:	RENEWAL OF LICENSING SUPPORT NETWORK ADVISORY REVIEW PANEL (LSNARP) CHARTER

The current LSNARP Charter expires on December 6, 2008. While the Committee has not had a need for a meeting since December 2003, it is recommended that the Charter be renewed at this time so that it is in place, ready to assist/advise in the event new issues come up during refresh opportunities or ongoing use of the LSN.

The LSN Administrator is planning for a technology refresh for the LSN system in the FY-2010 time frame. The LSNARP demonstrated much of its benefit and utility during the development of LSN functional requirements, developing overall design concepts, bibliographic header structure, etc. That work was accomplished essentially by the technical subcommittees established by the LSNARP, which were disbanded subsequent to accomplishing their limited tasks. In order to continue the agency's long track record of openness and stakeholder involvement in the LSN, some forum for engaging parties' technical representatives during technology refresh opportunities should be available. That need is likely to occur in FY-2009 (planning) and FY-2010 (execution).

There are no revisions suggested to the current charter (attached ).
