SUBJECT:	STAFF REQUIREMENTS - SECY-01-0091 - ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNIT 1, RENEWAL OF FULL-POWER OPERATING LICENSE

The Commission has approved the staff's recommendation to authorize the Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation to renew the operating license of Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1, for an additional 20 years, upon making the appropriate findings on safety and environmental matters. The Commission also noted that the staff will make any necessary conforming changes to the renewed license as a result of any pending licensing actions while the Commission considered the staff's recommendations.

The Commission commended the staff and the ACRS for their outstanding efforts associated with the thorough and timely review of this renewal application.
