COMMENT RESOLUTION
In their vote sheets, all Commissioners approved the staff's recommendation
and some provided additional comments. Subsequently, the comments of the
Commission were incorporated into the guidance to staff as reflected in
the SRM issued on December 3, 2003.

Chairman Diaz
I approve the staff's recommendation that the Commission authorize the
Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation to renew the operating
licenses for the McGuire Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2 and the Catawba
Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2, after making the appropriate findings on
safety, and environmental matters.
