Women's Business Center
En EspaƱol

First in North Carolina
The Women's Business Center (WBC) of Fayetteville was the first program of its kind in the state of North Carolina. The Small Business Administration (SBA), the City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County and private donations primarily fund the Business Center programs.

Our Services

The Women's Business Center of Fayetteville is proud to offer the business owner, or person thinking about starting a business, the following services:

Informative workshopsTraining is provided on a variety of business topics to help our clients become successful business owners. The training program includes Business Start-up, Business planning, taxation, Labor regulations, Identity Theft, marketing, etc. Click on the Jan 09 - March 09 Schedule of classes and training workshops to know more about upcoming sessions and information.

One-on-one business counseling – Specific areas ranging from start-up assistance, marketing & strategic analysis, business feasibility and business planning are provided by our experienced business consultants. All first-time counseling clients are required to attend one of the FREE "Business Center Orientation".  For available dates and times please check our schedule in the link above.  To fill out the SBA 641 form please click here.

Networking opportunities - Monthly ‘Morning Coffee’ at WCOF with 5-10 minute presentation by established business owner, faculty member, banker, or some other expert from business related field. Also offered is a Eat & Greet Luncheon every other month that gives members a guest speaker who discusses topics such as government contracting and how to partner with other companies.  The unique networking events allow our members to gather together informally once a month to learn about business topics, promote their products and services as well as learn from other business owners.

Financial assistance - The WCOF can help business owners to determine how much money they will need, value their business, and manage their business finances. And also provides technical assistance to individuals applying for the SBA's Express Capital Loan Program.

Our Micro Loan Lending

The Women’s Center of Fayetteville loan program was started to provide access to funds for those unable to get loans through traditional means. The WCOF is now accepting applications for microloans of $500 to $5,000 to help fund business start-ups or expansions. The Women's Business Center would like to thank Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation for their generous contribution to the success of the microloan program.  Click here to read more about the microloan program.
