PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE ESTABLISHED AT QUONSET POINT COMMAND CENTER


The National Transportation Safety Board has established a public affairs office in the Quonset Point command center for the investigation of the crash of EgyptAir Flight 990. The telephone number is 401-295-6500. News media may continue to call the office at the command post in Newport, R.I. Those numbers are 401-841-9654 /9666 /9593.

The NTSB also announces that various regulatory and law enforcement agencies have established safety zones which restrict public access around sites involved with the crash investigation. The safety zones are as follows:
