Geologic Repository Operations Area Proposed Rule
On December 20, 2007, the proposed rule on the Geologic Repository Operations Area Security and Material Control and Accounting (MC&A) Requirements was published in the Federal Register (72 FR 72522). The proposed new requirements would strengthen security and MC&A programs. The comment period ends on March 4, 2008. The staff plans to hold a public meeting to receive public comments on January 23, 2008, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
