The NASA Explorer School Theme song is an inspirational tool used to excite the viewer about the role exploration plays in NASA's research and education activities. Many of the visuals in the music video show NASA Aerospace Education Services Program Specialists interacting with students as they demonstrate various math, science and technology concepts. The song and video were produced for a national media campaign that introduced the public to the NASA Explorer Schools Program during the June 2003 National Educational Computing Conference that was held in Seattle. Lyrics by Bob Starr and Eric Worden, music by Michael Goldberg of Magic, the State of the Arts.
