America is in trouble .What ways can we repair the damage to the American economy.[1]strengthen the U.S.dollar [2]Try to stabilize Iraq enough to bring oil production up.[3]Put together a comprehensive policy on policing price gouging and any other illegal methods oil companies are using to artificially drive the price of oil.[4]Starting with the N.Y.Mercantile exchange investigate the methods in which mercantile traders use hearsay ,over blown news reports, conjecture, and out right lies to artificially drive the price of oil and gas.[5]Check other commodities exchanges across the the country to insure compliance.[6]Strengthen laws for compliance here in the U.S. and overseas.[7]Temporarily suspend the ambitious Ethanol program so that food prices in at least one part of the agricultural sector could stabilize.[8]Start a agressive PSA program to promote conservation and reasonable use of oil and gas.[9]Institute some kind of tax credit to home owners who use home heating oil and to small and medium size business concerns who are fuel dependant.I realize that all of these suggestions do not fall under the auspices of the Federal Trade Commission, but the FTC can make recommendations to other areas of Goverment .I want to suggest a book to help the process along in regards to the investigation of illegal trading practices at the NY Mercantile Exchange. The author is Ben Mezrich.....and the book is called "Rigged"....this may be a good start for understanding the unchecked greed that is destroying our country. If we can spend trillions in a war with highly questionable reasons and send American tax dollars to Iraq in cash on two C-130's[12 billion] and not know what happened to the money, surely we can try to bring relief to hardworking Americans who expect some one to care about them as citizens and as human beings.Ladies and Gentleman make no mistake we are in it up to our necks. We are in a civil war in our country between the forces of market force greed and corruption and true moral tenets of liberty ,democracy and the pursuit of happiness this beautiful country was founded on for all citizens, not just the rich and privileged.Find the moral courage and intestinal fortitude to stand up and protect America!
