RE: FACTA Free File Disclosures Proposed Rule Matter No. R411005 Under this rule, there is a time allowance for creating a centralized request system for consumers to receive their yearly free credit reports. However; I would think that each individual CRA should comply with the rule as of its current finalized date if a consumer should choose to take the time to put in separate requests to each CRA. Presently, these CRAs provide free reports upon request to those consumers recently denied credit, receiving public assistance etc. Shouldn't they then also provide free reports to those consumers who would like to choose to request one now (from each individual CRA) instead of waiting up to a year for a centralized request site?
