Cancer and Inflammation Program Retreat April 10-11, 2008 The NCI Cancer and Inflammation Program, Center for Cancer Research will be holding its' first retreat, April 10 & 11 at the Eisenhower
Conference Center in Gettysburg, PA. The event will be highlighted by keynote addresses to be given by Dr. Robert Schreiber, Alumni Endowed
Professor of Pathology, Pathology and Immunology, Washington Univ., St. Louis, MO (April 10) and Dr. Michael Karin, Professor of Pharmacology,
University of California, San Diego; La Jolla, CA (April 11). The retreat will feature presentations by CIP Principal Investigators on
their current and future research focused on Cancer and Inflammation as well as 3 round table/workshops on Genetics/Epigenetics (chaired
by Michael Dean/Mary Carrington); Animal Models (chaired by Andy Hurwitz) and Technology (chaired by Howard Young). In addition, posters
highlighting work done in each of the CIP labs relevant to Cancer and Inflammation will be available for viewing. The program will run
from 8:30 AM to approximately 5 PM and includes a continental breakfast available for meeting participants beginning at 8AM. |
