Colorado
The Office of Health Disparities (OHD) was officially introduced in September 2004. The ground- work for the OHD started in 1999 as the Colorado Turning Point Initiative, part of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's (RWJF) national Turning Point Initiative.
North Dakota
In 2002, the governor declared health to be one of the pillars of his plan for North Dakota. This declaration helped create groups to address health disparities.
Utah
In 1995, the Office of Ethnic Health was created in the Utah Department of Health. The Ethnic Health Advisory Committee (EHAC) was also created to provide recommendations to the Utah Department of Health on racial and ethnic minority issues.
Wyoming
The Minority Health Program is maintained within the Wyoming Department of Health, Division of Community and Rural Health. A minority health coordinator was appointed in January 1996 by the department director.
