I for one, believe that Genetically Altered foods hold great promise but to not subject to the normal review that any other newly invented food product requires is just plain foolish. People will find out which foods contain these untested products whether they are labelled or not and they will boycott the companies that have used them in their food products. The recent events around the accidental introduction of StarLink corn into the human food chain certainly bear this out. It cost Frito-Lay millions of dollars in lost and destroyed food and uncounted millions more in lost consumer confidence. This is too great a risk to chance, keep the testing in place, PLEASE.
