PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The National Park Service (NPS) is in the process of remodeling the office area of the Wilderness Information Center. This building houses a public area, two public restrooms, several staff offices, staff restroom, staff kitchen, communication center, and an informational technology equipment room. The building floor area covers approximately 2700 square feet. The building currently is heated by a combination of electric forced air furnace, electric wall heaters, and a wood heater. The National Park Service will remove the existing electric forced air furnace, ductwork and grills. Most interior wall and ceiling coverings have been removed and the interior walls are exposed.
This RFQ is for designing, furnishing, and installing one (1) HVAC system, with heat pump and electric furnace, both of sufficient capacity for the building. A site visit is recommended prior to submitting your offer. All work will be performed under a single contract.
SOLICITATION DETAILS: This is a best value procurement set aside for emerging business concerns pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code for this project is 238220 and the small business size standard is $14.0 million, average annual gross receipts for the past three years. Pursuant to FAR 36.204, the estimated price for this action is <$25,000.
