It is clear that human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, industrial production, deforestation and increased levels of carbon dioxide emissions continue to lead to changes in the fundamental composition of the Earth’s atmosphere, resulting in global warming. While the Bush Administration has favored policies that do not address the urgency of this problem, Congressman Tierney supports initiatives that effectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions, lessen our nation's dependence on fossil fuels and promote clean, renewable sources of energy production to address pressing global warming concerns.
