Education & Labor

As the only Massachusetts Member serving on the House Committee on Education and Labor, Congressman Tierney is focused on improving our children’s education at all levels and strengthening the rights and protections of our nation’s workforce.

This year, the Committee on Education and Labor is expected to update an array of national education and labor laws. During that process, Congressman Tierney will work to carefully craft policies that reflect the concerns of students who are worried about financing a college education and those families who are wondering if their retirement will be there for them when they need it.

Additionally, here is a brief sample of the work Congressman Tierney is doing to prepare our education and job training systems for the 21st century:

Protecting and Providing Opportunity to Americas Workers

Increasing the Minimum Wage

Competing in the Global Economy

Educating All Children at an Early Age

Strengthening Our Elementary Schools

Making College More Affordable and Accessible
